August 11, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Software giant Microsoft (microsoft.com), which has offered shared Web hosting and domain names under the bCentral brand since 2000, is droppping the label and marketing its hosting services under the Microsoft banner, according to research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com).
Microsoft's bCentral Web hosting offerings are private labeled through XO Communications's (xo.com) small business-focused Web hosting division Concentric (concentric.com).
There has reportedly been no change in bCentral's services. Customers who visit the bCentral Web site are now automatically redirected to the Microsoft Small Business Center.
